Canción Del Día - Woman Don't You Cry For Me (George)
Abriendo el disco 33 & 1/3 llega un temazo intitulado:
Woman Don't You Cry For Me
Fue escrita en Gothenburg, Suecia, durante un tour que realizó Harrison con Eric Clapton, Delaney y Bonnie & Friends en 1969, pero no fue hasta 1976 que Harrison la grabara, durante sus sesiones de 33 & 1/3, pese a que estuvo cerca de entrar en All Things Must Pass.
Se dice que Delaney le prestó a George una guitarra "Cuello de Botella" y este tocando un rato la guitarra empezó a componer este canción.
Harrison diría tiempo despues que el titulo de la canción tambien fue una sugerencia de Delaney.
Fue lanzada como single en UK y otros paises, pero no tuvo el éxito esperado.
Fue lanzada una versión temprana de la canción, en el disco de recopilación de rarezas "Early Takes Vol.1" y en el DVD del documental de Martin Scorsese "George Harrison: Living In The Material World"

Tengo una correcion para hacerte... (y que alguien mas experto me corrija si me equivoco). Cuando vos decis "Se dice que Delaney le prestó a George una guitarra "Cuello de Botella" y este tocando un rato la guitarra empezó a componer este canción.", no se refiere a una "guitarra cuello de botella", sino que lo de "cuello de botella" es el tubo (por asi decirlo) para hacer el slide.
Por lo demas, todo excelente! Besote!

Creo que todos coincidimos en que es un excelente canción y ademas del estupendo Slide de George esta el impecable trabajo de Willie Weeks que siempre que actuo con George puso de manifiesto su calidad. basta escuchar su interpretación en vivo en la gira de promocion de Dark Horse
