Bueno, me la quiero cortar, estaba haciendo un superpost y cerré la ventanita xD. A empezar otra vez...

Este post trata de las bandas, cantantes, guitarritas de mi agrado, las que yo escucho y alguna que otra informacion.
Espero que les guste.

AC/DC




AC/DC es un grupo de hard rock formado en Sydney, (Australia), en 1973 por los hermanos escoceses Malcolm y Angus Young.

Desde el principio, se hicieron famosas sus "explosivas" actuaciones en directo, gracias (en parte) al extravagante estilo de su guitarrista principal, Angus Young, siempre vestido con uniforme colegial en los conciertos. En 1976, se trasladaron a Gran Bretaña (los hermanos Young habían nacido en Glasgow) e inmediatamente ocuparon los primeros puestos de ventas con discos como Let There Be Rock (1977) y Powerage (1978), a los que siguieron If You Want Blood You've Got It (1978) y el disco Highway to Hell (1979), del que se vendieron millones de copias. En febrero de 1980, el vocalista Bon Scott falleció por consumo excesivo de alcohol y fue sustituido por Brian Johnson, quien pertenecía al grupo Geordie.

Aunque llegaron a Gran Bretaña en pleno auge del punk rock, en poco tiempo obtuvieron una enorme aceptación del público. El álbum Back in Black (1980) alcanzó el primer lugar en la lista de los discos más vendidos del país y los catapultó a Estados Unidos. En la segunda mitad de la década de 1980, una serie de acontecimientos personales hicieron creer que el grupo ya había pasado sus mejores momentos, aunque sus discos se mantuvieron en las listas de éxitos hasta la década de 1990. En 1993, el sencillo “Big Gun”, que utilizaron para la banda sonora de la película El último gran héroe, de John McTiernan e interpretada por Arnold Schwarzenegger; alcanzó de nuevo las listas de los más vendidos en Gran Bretaña. En 1995, grabaron el disco Ballbreaker y en el 2000 lanzaron Stiff Upper Lip, en el que proclaman su fidelidad al rock más rebelde.

Han vendido mas de 150 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo, y de ellos 68 millones han sido vendidos en los Estados Unidos. Back in Black ha vendido aproximadamente 42 millones de unidades en el mundo y 22 millones solo Estados Unidos, de manera que es el 5º álbum de mayor venta de todos los tiempos en los EE.UU. Han llegado a ocupar el cuarto puesto en la lista de VH1 "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" (Los 100 mejores artistas de Hard Rock) y ocuparon el 7º puesto en la lista de MTV "Greatest Heavy Metal Band Of All Time" (Las mejores bandas de Heavy Metal de todos los tiempos).

Tercer disco oficial de la banda, en su version australiana que como veran tiene otra caratula, que es este dibujillo donde Bon nos enseña su tattoo que lleva el nombre del disco, tattoo que en la vida real lo tuvo desde tiempo antes de formar la banda.Y esta version se diferencia de la otra que todos conocen x 1 tema que esta version incluye y la otra no, el cual es "Love at First Feel"....un detalle para lo mas exigentes ...del disco que se puede decir??, es esencia pura, temas con riffs pegadizos y la gastada y wiskera voz de Bon dejan marcado ese sello del "antiguo testamento Ac/Dc" que ya muchos hemos probado...

Este es el 5º album de esta banda australiana. En este cd, debuta el bajista Cliff Williams, quien se mantiene en la banda hasta el día de hoy. Muchos fans consideran que Williams, los hermanos Young y el batería Phil Rudd constituyen la formación clásica de AC/DC. Es un cd muy "metalero", con canciones explosivas, buenas lineas de bajo, muy facil de escuchar y merece la descarga.

En este disco figura por primera vez Brian Johnson como vocalista, quien sustituyó a Bon Scott tras su trágica muerte. Las ventas internacionales del disco ascienden a más de 42 millones de copias , convirtiéndolo en el segundo disco más vendido de la historia tras Thriller de Michael Jackson. El álbum está dedicado a Bon Scott.

La portada del disco (el logo de AC/DC sobre un fondo negro) era un claro homenaje al reciente fallecido Bon Scott.

Aerosmith



Aerosmith, banda de Hard rock, Heavy Metal norteamericana formada en Boston a finales de los 60s y principios de los 70s.
Es una de las pocas bandas que ha conseguido mantener todos sus miembros originales. Sus miembros son:

Steven Tyler: Vocalista, armónica y piano
Joe Perry: Guitarra solista y coros
Brad Whitford:Guitarra rítmica
Tom Hamilton: Bajo, guitarra rítmica, coros
Joey Kramer: Batería

Fueron influenciados por bandas como Cream, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Yardbirds y los Rolling Stones. Siempre los he considerado como unos imitadores de los Rolling Stones pero más duros.

Comenzaron a tocar por los locales de Boston, hasta que finalmente, en 1972, grabaron su primer disco en dos semanas.
Sus temas al puro estilo Hard Rock con solos de guitarra, la voz desgarrada de Steven Tyler, siempre al estilo del blues-rock de la época. Contiene temas como "One Way Street", "Mama Kin", la balada "Dream On" (que estuvo en las listas de éxitos), y hasta hacen una versión de Rufus Thomas, "Walkin' the dog".

En mi opinión no es un mal disco, pero comparado con su segundo álbum, "Get your Wings", siempre podrían haberlo hecho mejor.

Alcatrazz





Alcatrazz era un grupo de hard rock formado a principios de los ochenta por Graham Bonnet (ex cantante de Rainbow), Gary Shea (bajista), Jimmy Waldo (teclista), Jan Uvena (batería), y el virtuoso guitarrista Yngwie Malmsteen (ex miembro de Steeler), con el cual grabarían dos discos: su ópera prima llamada “No Parole From Rock'n'Roll” (1984), y el directo “Live Sentence”(1984), editado en video con el nombre de “Metallic Live”. En 1985, ya sin Yngwie J. Malmsteen, editan su tercer disco con la entrada de otro reputado y virtuoso guitarrista llamado Steve Vai (ex miembro de Frank Zappa,David Lee Roth y luego miembro de Whitesnake), “Disturbing the Peace” (1985). Steve Vai se fue y entró entonces el guitarrista que ocupó el puesto hasta que el grupo se disolvió en 1987, Danny Johnson, grabando con ellos el disco “Dangerous Games” (1986). Este fue su último álbum de estudio, aunque en 1998 se publicó un disco de grandes éxitos llamado “Best of Alcatrazz” (1998).

Su música se puede definir como hard rock melódico, técnico, pero con sentimiento.

Audioslave




Audioslave fue un supergrupo de rock alternativo y hard rock formado en Los Ángeles en 2001 por el ex vocalista de Soundgarden Chris Cornell y los antiguos miembros de Rage Against the Machine: Tom Morello (guitarra), Tim Commerford (bajo) y Brad Wilk (batería). La crítica describió el sonido de Audioslave como una mezcla de Soundgarden y Rage Against the Machine, pero después del disco Out of Exile se notó un estilo diferente de estas dos bandas. El sonido típico de la banda comenzó a gestarse al fusionar el hard rock de los '70 y el grunge de los '90, todo ello unido a la peculiar técnica de guitarra de Morello. Como en la época de RATM, nunca se emplearon samples en las grabaciones de sus discos: sólo se empleó el sonido de la guitarra, voces, bajo y batería.

Después de editar tres exitosos álbumes, ser tres veces nominados a los premios Grammy, vender más de ocho millones de discos y ser la primera banda estadounidense en actuar en Cuba al aire libre, Cornell anunció el 15 de febrero de 2007 su abandono del grupo "debido a conflictos personales imposibles de resolver y a diferencias musicales", haciendo oficial la ruptura de Audioslave.

A finales de 2006, un directo de su creación más famosa "Drifting" llegó a ser portada en YouTube, tras conseguir más de 7,300,000 de visitas y la máxima puntuación de todas las composiciones de la página. El video también consiguió aparecer en portada de MySpace en julio de 2007. La mayoría de las demás canciones de Andy McKee han cosechado éxitos similares en YouTube, como "Rylynn" y "Africa" del grupo Toto. McKee se encuentra actualmente inmerso en una gira mundial promocionando su música y su último álbum, Gates of Gnomeria, lanzado a la venta el 10 de septeimbre de 2007.

Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi es una banda estadounidense de hard rock que alcanzó la fama mundial gracias a los éxitos internacionales: "Livin' On A Prayer", "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Bad Medicine", "Wanted Dead Or Alive" y "I'll Be There For You", etc... a mediados de los 80's; Fue formada en New Jersey, en 1983 por Jon Bon Jovi (su verdadero nombre es John Francis Bongiovi).
