Anthrax es una banda estadounidense, con base en la ciudad de New York, de Thrash metal. Fundada en el año 1981 es una de las bandas mas populares siendo junto a Metallica, Megadeth y Slayer, los "Cuatro Grandes Thrash Metal". Con una puesta en escena notable y combinando metal con rap y con hardcore han llegado a vender mas de 10 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo.

Han hecho también numerosas apariciones en televisión como Married... with Children, WWE Raw, NewsRadio, Cheers y otras. También han aparecido en películas como Run Ronnie Run y Calendar Girls y sus canciones en videojuegos como la canción Madhouse en los videojuegos Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Guitar Hero II o V-Rock.
