The Song Remains the Same (also known as TSRTS) is a concert film by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, said by many to be the greatest rock band ever. The recording of the film took place during three nights of concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York in 1973, during the band's Houses of the Holy tour. The film premiered on October 21, 1976 at Cinema I in New York and in London two weeks later.
Intercut with the concert footage are five sequences in which the band members, and their legendary manager Peter Grant, act out fantasy sequences. Included are backstage footage and scenes of the band members at home with their famlies.
Includes footage about the $203,000 robbery of Led Zeppelin's cash receipts from that same concert from their safety deposit box at New York’s Drake Hotel. That is $945,000 in todays money.
Led Zeppelin broke all concert attendance records set by any band before them (including The Beatles) and in April 1977 they played to 76,229 fans at the Pontiac Silverdome, Michigan, a world record attendance for a solo indoor attraction.

“ Conceived by the French director Adrian Maben as "an anti-Woodstock film," Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii was shot in October 1971 in a vacant, 2,000-year-old amphitheater--a venue chosen to accentuate the grandeur and spaciousness of the band's Meddle-era music. This disc contains a new, 90-minute director's cut as well as the original 60-minute concert film, whose production and effects feel inescapably dated. Maben's cut goes to great lengths to lend the film a more contemporary feel, but it's the earlier version that makes this disc such a gem, being more focused on the music and more wholistic in vision. The anamorphic, 16:9 director's cut interweaves the Pompeii performances with fascinating but distracting interviews and music snippets filmed later (mostly during the recording of Dark Side of the Moon). The movie was originally prepared in a 4:3 aspect ratio, however, and the widescreen version crops perfectly framed images like the nine-square mosaic of drummer Nick Mason in "One of These Days." The original offers plenty of closeups of fingers on frets and keys, with shots that are often luxuriously long in duration. And the picture quality from Pompeii is revelatory: outstandingly sharp and clear, rich in subtle grades of light and color.

“ Although it was technically filmed one year too early (December 7, 2004, at Düsseldorf, Germany's Phillipshalle, to be precise), the discreetly double entendre-named Stage Fright DVD is meant to commemorate Motörhead's 30th anniversary (1975-2005), and does so with rather impressive results, it must be said. The concert itself is presented in unimpeachable visual and audio quality (multi-angle cameras, Dolby 5.1, and AC3 stereo sound), and captures Motörhead turning in a reliably top-notch performance from what was widely held to be the band's finest touring cycle in years -- not only because it was in support of a surprisingly memorable studio effort (2004's Inferno, introducing the memorable "Killers" and the brilliant acoustic guitar and harmonica breakdown "Whorehouse Blues"
, but for reviving a few rarely played old classics ("Shoot You in the Back", "Over the Top", "Dancing on your Grave" amidst the usual on-stage warhorses, both welcome and necessary ("Killed by Death", "Ace of Spades", "Overkill" and inexplicably enduring ("Dr. Rock", "Metropolis", "No Class" -- all in serious need of retirement). Add to this an entertainingly crass and often self-demolishing commentary track provided by the ever lovable (if increasingly mummified -- he is 60, you know!) Lemmy Kilmister and merry henchmen Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee (incidentally, celebrating ten years as the most stable lineup Motörhead has ever had), and you may also be looking at a live concert first. Then there's the second disc, where featurettes about the fans, the show, the road crew (yes, them again), and backstage shenanigans at an L.A. show add up to an absolute embarrassment of bonus riches. (The only persons not interviewed directly were the two gigantic moles on Lemmy's cheek). Cherry-top the whole deal with a generous photo slide show, amusing backstage rider, and a lavish package to hold it all, and the celebratory cause is done more than enough justice. Here's to 30 more years.
