Depeche Mode es un grupo inglés de música electrónica y rock, formado en Basildon (condado de Essex [Reino Unido]), en 1980. Comúnmente considerado como uno de los mejores grupos del género, siendo importantes precursores del uso del sintetizador y del sampler como instrumentos musicales, así como de la realización de videoclips. Después de una larga trayectória musical, el grupo conserva un gran prestigio a la vez que un importante éxito a nivel mundial.

Según la BBC en la lista de la música de todos los tiempos Depeche Mode aparece como el Padre de la música electrónica,su contribución es más influyente y decisiva que la contribución de Kraftwerk.

Se dio a conocer en 1981 como grupo de synthpop, sin embargo pronto perdió esa etiqueta a medida que endureció su sonido y oscureció sus letras y su propia estética en 1984. Su cima artística posiblemente llegó en el periodo 90-94, con los álbumes Violator y Songs of Faith and Devotion, el primero sería considerado una joya de la corriente electrónica de esa época, mientras el segundo presentó una fusión de rock y tecno que les ganó más adeptos.

Yo soy refana de los mode pero que manera de afanar estos locos, 20 discos y 100.000 remixados... algunos temas están tan tocados que son un asco espero encontrar buenas mezclas entre todo este material!

Ese es uno de los discos más pobres de Depeche, de ahi solo sacás "new life" y "Just can't get enough"...
Cuanta falta le hace Alan Wilder a la formación...
