Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, (nacido el 2 de octubre de 1951 en Wallsend, Tyneside del Norte, al noreste de Inglaterra), mejor conocido por su nombre artístico Sting, es un músico británico que se desempeñó inicialmente como bajista, y más tarde como cantante del grupo musical The Police.
Como solista y como miembro de The Police, Sting ha vendido más de cien millones de álbumes, ha recibido más de dieciséis Premios Grammy por su trabajo, recibiendo el primero por Mejor Interpretación Rock Instrumental en 1981, y obtuvo una nominación a los premios Oscar por Mejor Canción.
