Joe Perry es conocido por ser el guitarra solista de la mítica y legendaria banda de hard rock Aerosmith. En los 80 se distanció de la banda para embarcarse en «The Joe Perry Project» con el que sacó varios discos, con menos éxito. En 2005, sacó su último disco en solitario, un disco homónimo en el cual destacan temas como «Shakin my cage», «Mercy» (nominado a los Grammy), «Ten Years» o «Talk Talkin».
