Happy Tree Friends (Los felices amigos del árbol) es una serie animada creada por Kenn Navarro, Aubrey Ankrum y Rhode Montijo, hecha en Macromedia Flash por Mondo Mini Shows. Es una serie muy popular, que hizo su
debut en Internet.
En contraste con la inofensiva apariencia de los personajes, la serie es altamente violenta y en cada episodio muere al menos uno de los personajes, en forma sangrienta y trágica. A pesar de ello, los personajes vuelven a aparecer
en más episodios sin importar lo que les pasara en los anteriores. La serie no tiene diálogos, ya que los personajes sólo emiten sonidos inintelegibles; sin embargo, el sentido de cada escena sí se llega a entender. Aparentemente,
la intención de los creadores de la serie fue que todos la pudieran comprender sin importar el idioma del espectador.
