La Copa Intercontinental o Copa Europea-Sudamericana es un extinto torneo de clubes de fútbol que enfrentaba año a año al campeón de Europa (Liga de Campeones) con el campeón de Sudamérica (Copa Libertadores). El ganador de cada enfrentamiento se coronaba como Campeón del Mundo por ser la instancia más alta a la que puede llegar un club de fútbol oficialmente. Desde 1960 hasta 1979 se enfrentaban en los países de los respectivos campeones continentales y entre 1980 y 2004 se disputó durante el mes de diciembre en las ciudades japonesas de Tokio (de 1980 a 2001) y Yokohama (de 2002 a 2004). También es conocida como Copa Toyota, en alusión al patrocinador del trofeo. En 2005 se reemplazó con la Copa Mundial de Clubes, que se celebra anualmente en Japón, agregando un campeón por continente (que antes no participaba) y completándose un total de seis clubes aspirantes a convertirse en campeones a nivel mundial.
