On January 24, 2011 Jeff Ament announced on Pearl Jam's official website his side project with dUg Pinnick of King's X and Richard Stuverud of the Fastbacks. The band's official Facebook page announced a March 2011 release of their album, Three Mountains, through Monkeywrench Records.

Incubus es una banda procedente de Calabasas, California, formada por el vocalista Brandon Boyd y José Pasillas, quienes se conocían desde la escuela. Poco más tarde José conoció a Michael Einziger, y a Alex Katunich (Dirk Lance). Al poco tiempo después entró Galvin Koppell (DJ Lyfe), que con el tiempo los últimos fueron remplazados por DJ Kilmore y el bajista Ben Kenney.

Eels es una banda de rock de Estados Unidos formada por el cantante y compositor Mark Oliver Everett, mejor conocido como Mr. E o simplemente E, quien es el líder de la banda. El resto de los miembros, fueron cambiando frecuentemente ya sea para grabaciones en estudio como para las presentaciones en vivo.

A pesar de ser hijo de un reconocido científico norteamericano (Hugh Everett III), Mark Oliver no mostró ningún tipo de talento para las ciencias. Más bien fue influenciado por su hermana, quien tocaba piano. Así fue que, desde adolescente, E se inclinó a la música, llegando luego a conformar una de las bandas alternativas más relevantes.
