Burzum es la banda noruega de un solo integrante de Black metal con un estilo crudo y desgarrado. Es considerada como una de las fundadoras del Black metal. Ha editado 6 discos.

El nombre "Burzum" significa "oscuridad" en el idioma de Mordor o "lengua negra", inventado por Tolkien, y figura en la inscripción del anillo único del libro "El señor de los anillos". Según Vikernes, "El mundo necesita oscuridad, porque el exceso de luz no nos ilumina ni nos abriga sino que nos ciega y nos abrasa", y ésta es la idea que subyace al nombre.

Blizzard of Ozz es el primer álbum del cantante de heavy metal Ozzy Osbourne. Grabado en septiembre de 1980 en Inglaterra, después de la superación de una crisis personal del cantante, tras la ruptura de Black Sabbath. Es el primer álbum en solitario de Osbourne, y el primero de los dos discos que grabó con el fallecido guitarrista Randy Rhoads, en marzo de 1982. Los singles fueron "Crazy Train" y "Mr. Crowley". Alcanzó el puesto #21 de la Billboard. Blizzard of Ozz ha sido hasta el momento el disco más vendido de todo el repertorio de Ozzy Osbourne, alcanzando cerca de 4 millones de copias vendidas sólo en los Estados Unidos. Se trata de uno de los álbumes más recordados del músico británico, tanto por sus temas como por el estilo del malogrado guitarrista Randy Rhoads y sus influencias de la música clásica, patentes en el solo de guitarra del tema "Mr. Crowley", uno de los momentos álgidos del disco. Además de éste y del emblemático "Crazy Train", es muy rememorada la balada "Goodbye to Romance", siendo temas que nunca están ausentes en los recopilatorios y directos del músico.
