EL PERSONAJE: Hans Ulrich Rudel fue el AS de los STUKA. "Un hombre que vale tanto como un ejército" y por el que Stalin ofreció una recompensa de 100.000 rublos.

BIOGRAFÍA: Rudel nacido en 1.916 en una aldea de Silesia, era hijo de un pastor luterano. Desde niño destacó en varios deportes: natación, esquí, alpinismo y decatlón. Su primer destino en la LUFTWAFFE fue en una unidad de reconocimiento durante la campaña de Polonia (septiembre de 1.939), pasando a pilotar un STUKA en la campaña de Creta. Entró como teniente en el STUKAGESCHWADER 1º IMMELMANN y acabó la guerra siendo su coronel jefe.
