The Offspring es una banda de punk rock estadounidense, formada en Huntington Beach, California, en 1984 bajo el nombre de Manic Subsidal. Actualmente está integrada por Dexter Holland, Noodles, Greg K y Pete Parada
La banda ha sido una de las más influyentes en el resurgir del punk, abanderando la escena californiana de dichos géneros junto a Bad Religion, Green Day, Blink-182, Rancid y NOFX a comienzos y mediados de los años 1990. Han vendido alrededor de 50 millones de copias en todo el mundo a lo largo de toda su discografía,12 de los cuales 14,5 millones son solamente copias despachadas en los Estados Unidos. Su cúspide comercial y artística fue alcanzada con el aclamado Smash de 1994, el álbum bajo sello independiente más vendido de la historia, 17 millones de copias.
