Metal Church fue una banda estadounidense de Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal y Speed Metal de Aberdeen, Washington. Se formaron como Shrapnel en 1981, su primer álbum fue lanzado en 1984, y el más reciente trabajo de la banda, This Present Wasteland fue lanzado en el 2008. Metal Church fue formada cuando el género del thrash metal estaba aun en desarrollo. La voz del vocalista David Wayne en el auto-titulado Metal Church y The Dark, asemejaba algunos de los growls utilizados por bandas de black y death metal de los 80's pero en un tono muy agudo. Las letras del álbum The Dark hablan sobre muerte, asesinatos y miedos. Metal Church es una banda que se mantuvo en actividad hasta el mes de Julio del 2009
